Adult Education

Young Adults (BASIC)

Our Young Adults Group – also known as BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) – meets every other Monday at 7:30 pm in Trinity’s Hospitality Room. BASIC consists of Trinity Church members and friends in their mid to later twenties and thirties. The meetings focus on fellowship, Bible study, and discussions.

BASIC members also participate in community service projects, including visiting with the residents of R & M Boarding Home; hosting a meal for the Homeless Hospitality Network; joining the Senior High Mission/Work trip during the summer; participating in the 30-hour famine; and participating in the CROP Walk.

For more information, please email us at trinpres@trinpres.org.

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is open to all women in the church. We currently have seven circles that meet in individual members' homes for a time of fellowship, Bible study, and refreshments. Women outside of Trinity can also be members of PW if they accept the PW purpose and are involved in the work of PW through meeting attendance, gifts, and/or service.

Trinity’s PW operates a thrift shop on the lower level of the church. The shop offers quality donated used clothing, housewares, toys and books at affordable prices. All proceeds support local mission projects. PW also supports ongoing local charities, including Robins Nest, Mother/Child Services, The Children’s Home of Mt. Holly, R & M Boarding Home, and Urban Promise.

Visit our PW page for more information.

Men’s Groups

Trinity offers several fellowship opportunities for men, including a Daytime Men’s Group, which meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 10 am in Witherspoon Center; the Sunday Morning Men’s Fellowship, which gathers at 7:45 am on the 3rd Sunday of every month in Witherspoon Center; and the Men’s bowling league, which meets every Monday evening from September through May. Visit our Men’s Fellowship page for more details on each group.

Bible Study Groups

Currently, Trinity has several Bible Study groups—small groups of individuals or couples who have formed to further their study of the Bible. The groups generally meet informally once per month in members' homes for study and fellowship. All members are invited to join an existing group or, with the guidance of our pastoral staff, to form their own group. For more information, contact any member of the Adult Ministries committee or the church office.

Adult Education

Trinity offers multiple classes throughout the year where we delve deeper into what we believe as Christians and Presbyterians throughout history and today. The Adult Education Classes are led by our pastoral staff and other lay leaders or guest teachers. Classes are offered after worship at 11 am Sundays, weekday evenings, and during the weekday lunch hour. Please look for more information throughout the program year in the monthly Trinity Tidings or Sunday’s weekly bulletin.

Cancer and Conversation

Cancer and Conversation was established at Trinity to lend support and, if needed, meals and transportation to those in our congregation who have had the disease. Our vision has now grown to include forums with speakers to educate members about current cancer treatments and medicines and about trends in prevention and recuperation. The group meets periodically throughout the year. For more information, visit our Cancer and Conversation page.

Trinity Out and About

Trinity Out & About (TOA) sponsors fun social gatherings for the entire congregation. Our events take place on a regular basis throughout the church year. Past events have included a private tour of the Van Gogh exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a trip to Longwood Gardens at Christmas, a fun evening of bowling at Playdrome in Cherry Hill, a tour of Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field, a Moroccan dinner, a baseball game at the Camden Riversharks, and more! Join us “out and about” and get to know your fellow Trinity members in a fun social setting. Visit our Trinity Out and About page for upcoming events and more information.
