Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women (PW) is open to all women in the church. We currently have six circles that meet at church, in individual members' homes, or via Zoom for a time of fellowship, Bible study, and refreshments. Women outside of Trinity can also be members of PW if they accept the PW purpose and are involved in the work of PW through meeting attendance, gifts, and/or service.
PW Purpose:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study, to support the mission of the church world-wide, to work for justice and peace and to build an inclusive caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church USA and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Circle Meetings
Presbyterian Women's Circles provide the women of Trinity with the opportunity to connect with each other, to study the Bible and other important topics together, to pray for each other, and to serve those in need by supporting charities in our local community as well as global missions.

Giving
At their monthly meetings, PW Circles collect funds that are used to finance special ministries
and specific needs.
The Birthday Offering: When Hallie Paxson Winsborough visited Miss Dowd’s School for girls in Hochi, Japan, she saw inadequate facilities and crowded rooms and recognized a need that could be met by Presbyterian Women in the United States. On her return home, she challenged all the women of the church to give only one penny for each year of their lives (or a dollar) as a “Birthday Gift” to those schoolgirls in Japan. Thus began a tradition of annual Women of the Church Birthday Celebrations. The offerings have enabled a long succession of new and often innovative mission projects to be accomplished both overseas and in the United States. The Birthday Offering supports domestic and international ministries, focusing on areas such as agricultural development, childcare, drug counseling, economic justice, elderly care, employment training, homelessness, literacy, violence or women’s concerns.
The Fellowship of the Least Coin: Through gifts of “least coin,” women accumulate a fund that is used for ministries of mercy on every continent and for experiences that create Christian Communities across national, racial and denominational lines. Trinity circle members give their least coin at each monthly meeting. The offering is dedicated in October at the Fall gathering.
Thank Offering: Elizabeth Clokey of Springfield, OH had a plan to have each woman give $1.00 over and above her usual contribution to the women’s General Missionary Society of the United Presbyterian Church of North America as a “thank offering to her Lord.” It has been said that women’s giving saved the worldwide missionary movement at that time. A “Thank Offering to Her Lord” has continued to be an important part of women’s giving by PW. The Thank Offering helps to fund real solutions in areas of health, education, economic development
Mustard Seed Moments
The theme for the 2022-2023 Program Year was Mustard Seed Moments - taking time to celebrate the ways we all make a difference in the world around us, and nurturing and growing those efforts. In keeping with that theme, PW members recorded videos that elaborate on various PW missions or that provide a devotional for the month.
